Every pregnancy, postpartum, and loss experience is different. Therapy is tailored to the client’s needs, values, and pace.
Support for persistent worry, fear, uncertainty, and difficult-to-settle thoughts during pregnancy.
A place to explore mood changes, overwhelm, adjustment, expectations, and the transition into a new role.
Trauma-informed support for distressing or frightening birth experiences and memories that remain emotionally present.
Compassionate care for grief, ambiguity, disrupted expectations, and the emotional impact of pregnancy loss.
Support for bereavement, trauma, identity changes, and the complex emotions that can follow stillbirth or infant loss.
Space for hope and fear to coexist while navigating uncertainty, reminders, milestones, and changing expectations.
Therapy can make room for emotions that may shift, conflict, or feel difficult to name without judging their pace.
Individual therapy for shifts in identity, boundaries, roles, family dynamics, and relationships after becoming a parent.
Relevant Clinical Background
Keyla previously provided therapy through the University of Utah Hospital, including work connected to pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, grief, loss, and trauma. She brings that clinical background into a broader virtual adult therapy practice serving Utah and Arizona.
Care may draw from EMDR and other trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches when clinically appropriate and aligned with the client’s goals and readiness.
Clinical Experience and Personal Understanding
Alongside her clinical experience, Keyla understands pregnancy loss personally after the stillbirth of her son at 37 weeks. She brings that perspective with humility and respect for the fact that every person’s experience of grief, pregnancy after loss, and parenthood is different.
Personal experience does not replace clinical training or define what another person feels. Therapy remains centered on each client’s story, choices, culture, and autonomy.
A Client-Centered Approach
Keyla may integrate EMDR, IFS-informed therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and other approaches based on the client’s goals and preferences.
